This was back when i didn't understand how to merge all textures into one material while keeping a good texel density, therefore i made 2 materials and merged them in a 3rd party software which causes the large empty spaces.
With this project, I wanted to make a simple model i could quickly make that would enhance the environment. The project this was used in made this the only model that you could interact with so i made sure it had the quality for it.
The final model came out to 8,988 polygons. My goal was to make a detailed and simple model so the performance didn't tank if i had too many of them. If I were to redo this model i would lower the poly count and increase resolution quality. I would also make it one material so setup in game engine is easier to implement.
